Slow Cooker Applewood BBQ Meatball Subs

How easy can these meatball subs be? Turn frozen pre-cooked meatballs into a tender and juicy filling for submarine sandwiches using the slow cooker and Chili’s® Applewood BBQ Slow Cooker Sauce.



  1. Prepare slow cooker with a liner or nonstick cooking spray for easy cleanup. Pour one package of Chili’s® Applewood BBQ Slow Cooker Sauce into the slow cooker.
  2. Add frozen fully cooked meatballs to the slow cooker. Pour the second package of Slow Cooker Sauce over the meatballs. Stir to coat.
  3. Cook on high for 3 hours until fully cooked meatballs are completely heated. Stir gently to coat with sauce.
  4. Serve meatballs on submarine buns topped with sliced onion and jalapeño. Makes 4–6 sandwiches.
