Slow Cooker BBQ Drumsticks

For an easy budget-friendly dinner that will feed a crowd, grab a package of Chili’s® Sweet & Spicy Molasses Slow Cooker Sauce and a pack of chicken drumsticks. Cook in the slow cooker while you’re having fun for a tasty dinner that everyone will love.



  1. Pour about a third of the package of Chili’s® Sweet & Spicy Molasses Slow Cooker Sauce into the bottom of your slow cooker. Place drumsticks on top and season with salt and pepper to taste. Cover drumsticks with remaining sauce. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours until fully cooked (meat thermometer registers 165º F internal temperature).
  2. Remove chicken legs from slow cooker. For a thicker BBQ sauce, add 3 Tbsp. of corn starch or other thickening agent to the sauce left in the slow cooker, adjusting the amount to your desired thickness preference, and whisk to combine. With the slow cooker still on low, cook for 5 minutes. Pour sauce over the drumsticks and serve.

Optional: Before placing chicken in the slow cooker, melt 2 Tbsp. butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Brown the drumsticks in batches, about a minute on each side.
